It is a fruity drink and egg dye.

Easter is almost here, and you know what it means: it's time to dye the eggs. If you grew up with Easter eggs dyed in a shop-bought kit, you will remember the obvious smell of vinegar, plastic gloves and concentrated dye flakes. But what if we told you that there is another way to dye Easter eggs, which only requires two ingredients-no additional kits?

What secret are you asking? Passionately. The old-fashioned drink mix dissolves into a dye, making your eggs the envy of Easter egg hunts. This Easter egg adventure only requires water, a few packets of Kool-Aid mixed drink powder, boiled eggs and a cup for mixing dyes.

First, pour the beverage mixture of each envelope into a separate cup, fill the cup with 1/2 water, and then stir to dissolve. You will dip an egg in each cup and let it soak until the egg shell is dyed. The result is a brightly colored egg with a cheerful Kool-Aid color. If the color is not bold enough, you can add more powder to the dye mixture, or let the eggs soak in the dye for a longer time.

Each pack of mixed drinks can dye your eggs, but some of our favorite shades come from strawberry, lemon lime and berry blue powder. You can also mix the flavors in each cup to create a wider range of shades. Be sure to check out this Kraft tutorial, it will teach you how to make patterns and tie-dye eggs using the Kool-Aid method.

When you can reach into the kitchen cabinet and take out a few packs of Kool-Aid or other mixed drinks, you don’t need an egg dyeing kit. This is a fun Easter DIY project that children and parents can enjoy together-in the annual Easter egg hunt, the end result looks very cute.
